PCI-e video capture cards

Upgrade to a new PC, sadly lacking PCI-X so I'm not able to use my old video capture card.

It is an AJA Kona LH, but there is the identical PCI-e version, the Kona LHe, which cost not that much.

I wonder if there is a better alternative at a good price; primarily used for LD and VHS capture.

I think Blackmagic capture cards are great as long as long as you stay miles away from the Intensity Pro series.

Blackmagic: which model, in particular?

The only missing things from the AJA Kona is a 3d comb filter, but, using the "DVD recorder passthrough" trick, I can live without it.

They make some USB 3.0 capture dongles ... they're plug and play, no drivers required.

They also have some PCIe capture cards... see link above.

At almost 1250€ (DVI2PCIe + AV kit) this is not so cheap... in comparison, I could find an AJA Kona (Xena) LHe at less than 50€, and, even if the former could be better (frankly don't know) I can't think it's 25 times better! :D
