Hi,

what is the best motion interpolation solution (24p -> 48p, offline or real time) to date and why?

I know it's not a completely solvable mathmatical problem, so this is always somwhat subjective. But I was hoping for a solution with less artifacts then SVP, maybe doing it offline. Somehing that works well in tricky situations like e.g. lightsaber fights.

Latest mvtools will do less artefacts than svp.

Thank you for the suggestion!

Which branch are you referring to? Pinterf's?

What settings do you use (for non-anime blu-ray content)?

If you start with 24p you always going to have artefacts.
You will have hard time to make it run in realtime.
