Hi

I'm looking for help, want to buy a new monitor that has a resolution of 2560x1440 and i'm trying to figure out if my mobo (Gigabyte GA-785GMT-USB3) with onboard gpu ATI Radeon 4200 will be compatible.
It's based on 785G chip and my dilemma is because chip and mobo spec says it supports hdmi 1.3 that is 2560x1600 but the mobo manual says its only full hd.
And the DVI is dual link so also 2560x1600.
By any chance any of You has this mobo and using it with higher than full hd monitor resolution?

Thx

The manual for the motherboard only mentions 1920 x 1080 resolution and no dual-link DVI. Unless you have different revision of the motherboard than I was looking at. The capabilities of individual revisions sometimes differ a lot.

Generally speaking if the motherboards from that era didn't actually advertise 2560x1600/1440 resolution and no dual-link DVI is advertisied, they were full HD only.
