Not sure whether to post new thread or not, but this isn't really related to madVR new development so I didn't want to hijack the main madVR thread.
I just setup an old Asus 1215N laptop with MPC-BE as a media pc with projector, mainly to see if would work. GPU was one if not the first ION2 with Optimus card. I think there was some beef between Asus and Nvidia, and drivers for this particular ION2 implementation were not developed past 2011 and v267.54. Newer generic nvidia drivers don't work.
Anyway, MPC-BE + madVR... actually work quite well. Had to use MPC-BE to have GPU decoding work properly (wasn't able to get it to work with MPC-HC + LAV filters) - using DXVA2.
However, picture froze after about 1h of playing a 1080p movie. I don't know what caused it. Had to kill MPC to restart the movie, which froze again after 40 minutes. Then switched to EVR custom presenter and it seems to work fine.
My question: where can I investigate? Is it just incompatibility with the ancient drivers? Can I log something next time I test it? Are there options I could try to switch on/off? For now I just ran it with all settings at default.
Those ION2 card supposedly were quite good at hardware decoding back then, and the whole point of those netbooks was to switch to the GPU for everything video related. So I'm guessing there should be some hope :)
Setup is Win7 64bit, 4GB RAM, Atom D525, MPC-BE 64bit, ION2 card has I think 512mb memory.
