Can't get this to work. I'm sure it's worked before.
Loading things directly into a fresh VD with no editing/compression enabled.
I've tried
DV1 (no delta frames)
Xvid MPeg4 generated by VD (no unsupported delta frames)
Uncompressed avi generated by VD
I just get "the currently selected output plugin cannot be used in direct stream copy mode"
Help anybody?

What operation are you trying to do? Export via external encoder?

Are you opening video with the ffmpeg input driver plugin? If not there might be a different plugin opening the files..
The "File/File Information" window should show you how it's being opened on the title bar.

Sorry got a bit confused, (I find it easy to do this when there are so many things to get right!)
I notice this error report when I set VD video to "direct stream copy" then try to dub (right-hand Go button, or press Enter).
In fact it will nevertheless Save as AVI.
(I use this for audio editing, or concatenation of clips)

Now I understand the problem. Output preview works normally only in full processing mode. This is indeed confusing.

Can someone tell me why VD recognise a 23.976 fps clip as 29.970 clip. Even though i change output fps to the original, i am not able to syn the audio and video. Pl. Guide...
