Out of sync videos (Fraps and x264)

I am having the following problems here:

- I used epsXE and played a game, then FRAPS to save it.

Fraps 3.5.99 build 15618 is currently using these settings:

Video capture settings: Full size, 30 fps.
Split movie every 4 GB
Record win7 sound, Stereo
Hide mouse cursor in video

And I have a Windows 10, Pro, 64 bit, plus the SAPPHIRE R7 265 AMD video card.

About the FRAPS AVI file: it has 2.13 GB and 2m59s. There are no issues when it comes to audio sync, so everything is 100% fine.

Using VirtualDub 1.10.4, I opened the AVI and used these settings:

For audio, just direct stream copy.

To my surprise when I try to play the new AVI (with 267 MB) the audio is out of sync, I believe for a difference of 1 second.

I even tried extracting as a WAV the PCM audio from the original file and inserting in the 267 MB x264 version. Didn't work.

So what is going on here?

BTW, what are the best settings for saving these FRAP files, using x264, in the best possible quality (for the video only, if possible I would like the audio to remain lossless)?

What settings would you change for x264, while using VirtualDub?

Are you sure? Because this looks wrong Video

It's possible the video was not captured at exactly 30.000 FPS, but at 29.97 or some other rate; try VirtualDub's frame rate control option, "change so video and audio durations match."

Other than that, your settings seem fine to me.
