x264 encoding with GordianKnot : light sound/image shift

Hello,

Each time I'm encoding a movie with GordianKnot, using mkv and H264 I'm getting a small shift between sound and image. Sound starts roughly 200ms before image.
I'm a begginner in encoding in mkv (I was much better in divx), and if someone knows why this happens, it would be great.

No one is using or developing Gordian Knot anymore. I strongly recommend to switch to a different program like VidCoder (or HandBrake, or StaxRip, or ...).

I don't even remember how it worked because it has been obsolete for years. Maybe muxing has problems with b frames: try setting number of b frames to 0. Maybe file opening has problems, if it is using DirectShow you could try to install LAV Filters. (On Windows 7 and later LAV Splitter + Video + Audio may have to be set to "prefer" using the Win7DSFilterTweaker.)
If you have trouble figuring out what I said: don't waste your time trying to fix Gordian Knot. Try VidCoder or a different up-to-date encoding software of your choice.

Whoa, I don't think I've heard Gordian Knot mentioned since... 2003?
I don't even remember what it looked like.

GordianKnot was really good, and helped me for many hundred of DivX... old chap !
Ok, I got the point. I have to learn to use VidCoder.
