Hi, thanks a lot for reoporting your experience and suggestions!
I'm looking for a Win32 (or 64) recorder, with these features:
1) Support line command, like pogram.exe /record , and program.exe /stop
2) show in tray the recording or stop
3) save file with date:time format as name
Would be nice to see also:
Vu-meter in tray, showing clip
adjust automatically the record volume base on average volume.
Save directly in .aac format
Thank you a lot!

If you don't mind recording video (eg, your computer's desktop) along with your audio, OBS Studio (https://obsproject.com/) meets most of those requirements:
>Support line command...
It's a GUI, not a command program, but it can launch immediately into record mode if you set it up correctly (https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/obs-studio-command-line-parameters.56185/).
>show in tray the recording or stop
Yes - the system tray icon shows a (very small) red dot when recording is active.
>save file with date:time format as name
Yes. User-configurable.
>Vu-meter in tray, showing clip
No; it does have has meters, but not in the tray.
>adjust automatically the record volume base on average volume.
There's no automatic gain currently. Maybe someday. There is a "noise suppression" and a "noise gate" filter.
>Save directly in .aac format
You can save aac audio, with h.264 video, in an .mp4 container (or .mov, .mkv, .ts)
Multiple tracks (audio streams) are supported.
You can, for example, place microphones on separate tracks for mixing later.
A video track might be useful as a reference when editing.
Finally, OBS Studio is free, open source, and works reliably.
