dvd movie file (small) that I can use to test vcd quality?

Hey i've got a cd burner but no dvd-rom in my computer. I would like to see what vcd quality really looks like on my dvd/tv setup before i get a dvd-rom. Is there a site where i could download a minute or less of dvd quality movie stuff and burn it to see what it looks like?

Try searching for vob trailers using google. You can also download some test files from vcdhelp.com - just to test multichannel and subtitles support of your dvd standalone.
But if you want to try converting dvd-svcd, download any of vob trailers and work on it.
