Hi, there,

I have an ISO copy of a copyright protected dvd, the physical DVD isn't available anymore, it was owned by a friend, and he doesn't have the dvd anymore and before getting rid of it, he thought he backed it up, but apparently it wasn't done correctly. so as you probably know, when u create an ISO of a copy protected dvd, and then open the iso, this is what u get http://i67.tinypic.com/23k937q.png.

I guess, I can get my hands on the video properly, if it possible to recreate the iso(from the iso I already have not the actual dvd) but this time, with copy protection removal (assuming that the ISO, is not really damaged but just protected?)or maybe by figuring out a way to modify the .vob files and force them to work ignoring the protection?

Can anyone suggest any helps for that?

and thanks in advance

I don't think you'll get an answer, even if it were possible, until the moderators would assess the legit of the copy.

In most countries, keeping a copy and selling the original is illegal. And if he just discarded it, it means he had no need for it anyway :) but the copy is still illegal.

If you don't own the original disc you are trying to back up, we cannot help you.
