Hello everybody
I'm mounting an ISO on my Windows 10 media player and I'm then playing using MPC-HC.
When playing high bitrate ISO's - about 30-35Mbit/s - the network is unable to fill the buffer and it slowly drops to zero.
Unfortunately I have to rely on a Ethernet over power link but when I try moving the same ISO file on the device I record 80-90Mbit/s.
I've been doing lots of tests and I found that the problem is in the mounted ISO: moving the video file from the STREAM folder of the same mounted ISO gives me about 40-45Mbit/s of bandwidth. This is 'just' for a streaming and when I come across a higher than average bandwidth movie my LAN is not fast enough. The media player is also not very fast and does not help.
If I temporarily wire the media player to my LAN, all seems good. The Media player is limited to 100Mbit anyway but obviously that little extra bandwidth helps.
I tried increasing the buffer but it does not really like that as the picture seems to stutter.
I don't believe this is an MPC-HC issue but I thought I should ask here rather than a Windows forum.
I have used the built-in mounting solution and also Daemon Tool lite.
Can someone think of a solution for this issue? I will look into wired Ethernet but it involves some building efforts unfortunately.
