I'm actually not even sure why DVD2SVCD installs HuffYUV (PVA maybe?), but are there any circumstances or reasons to oppose installing/including the recent HuffYUV v0.2.2 instead of the (older) v2.1.1?
Actually, this release of HuffYUV was prompted by bugs in CCE. The readme might be helpful in diagnosing these CCE issues, who knows. Check it out if you like: http://cx.ath.cx/files/huffyuv/
