I tried to make a svcd with dvd2svcd using non perm. subs. But the resulting svcd does'nt seems to be well done. On my Mustek the subtitles don't look ok, sometimes they appear, sometimes not.
Another player (yamaha) hangs after a while of playback.
I'm sure the Mustek suport subs, cause i tried the sample from vcdhelp and they play correctly.
I saw the Arianos post Link (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?threadid=14292&highlight=subtitle+black+white+yellow) and seems to be my same problem.
The question is:
How i can reencode the mpeg file i have now with a good non-perm subtitle?
I saw on Doom's site the guide about svcd and subs, but i don't have i-author
Plz
Help
Thanks

In the latest version of dvd2svcd, you can select the output palette, and it "stays" selected. The Musteks support CVD subtitles. As I mentioned in the link, I don't use the default subtitles output palette, but black 0, yellow (or white) 15, black 15, black 15 .
The resulting selectable subtitles do not look quite so perfect on light coloured backgrounds (that's why I mostly use yellow, which is rare as background, as opposed to white) but they work perfectly all the times.
