Trouble understanding CABAC

Hi,
I am just starting to make vlsi design for CABAC encoder.
But I have trouble understanding it. I don't quite get Binary Arithmetic Coding and Context Modeling.
Do you guys have any resources to help me understand CABAC to be able to implement it?
Another question is how can I use HEVC test model to improve my knowledge in CABAC and test my model?

You will need some basic understanding of how "arithmetic coding" (or the "range coder") works in general:
