Hello,
I was developing AviSynth plugins for 4 years already. This all started here (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?p=1565056#post1565056) from ssifSource helper for BD3D reading and continued with Sub3D plugin (http://forum.doom9.org/showpost.php?p=1755302) for 3D subtitle depth estimation and rendering.
Here's my source code (https://github.com/slavanap/ssifSource/releases/) with 4 years history. Hope, you'll find it interesting for your own projects. If you have any critique about plugin organization please make a pull request, create an issue, or post a message here. I really demand a feedback that will improve my coding skills and help me to decide where to grow next.
