Going back to old threads?

Is there a reason you can only browse a few pages of threads back in the forum?

Sometimes I find a thread with a last reply from 2004 and I reply as the content IS THE SAME AS WHAT IM POSTING ABOUT so if the links in the thread ARE STILL VALID,I reply to it.. (I dont like having multiple threads of the same topic ON THE SAME BASE (Doesnt look good (Kinda sloppy))

I figure if the original poster doesnt see it,someone will still benefit from it.. (New members,etc)

I cannot find older posts (by me) prior to about Oct 2015 (Yes I changed "Default Thread Age Cut Off" to "Show All Threads"),
Was trying to find something from I think 2010.

Arh, problem only searching by name (back about 1 year), but search on keyword I can find 'Guitar' back in 2002.

Is it intended that search on only user name is limited to about 12 months ?

When you're on one of the index pages there's a "Display Options" box down at the bottom. It has "Sorted by," "Sort order," and "From The." By default (at least for me) "From The" is set to "Last Month," but you can change it to a number of other options including "Beginning" which should show all the threads in a particular sub forum.
