Hi,

As far as I know, DRC information is stored as metadata in TrueHD bitstreams. Is it possible to read this metadata and see what kind of DRC profile was applied?

It doesn't work that way. The DRC metadata is not the DRC profile being applied.
Effectively, the metadata & the dialnorm flag are the same for all DRC profiles. They are generated during the encoding stage.
The DRC profile (not the DRC metadata) is user defined and gets applied during the playback stage, in a non-destructive way.
Such profiles are [Film Light, Film Standard, etc].
All profiles read the same metadata, but apply a different scale factor to the incoming audio.

Interesting, thank you for the explanation! The flag does indicate which profile should be applied by the player though, right? Are there tools to see what the flag is set to?
