FullHD HDMI capture

Anyone tried this using one of the Magewell or Blackmagic Design cards for HDMI capture?

AFAIK, the aforementioned HDMI capture cards don't have and hardware compression on them, so are there light touch codecs that can be run in real time on a fast multicore CPU to reduce the bitrate / file size necessary for capture?

Plenty of people, I'm sure... There are YouTube reviews of some BMD cards, if nothing else. What specifically do you want to know?

Blackmagic includes an MJPEG codec. I've only used lossless (MagicYUV, Ut Video). Storage system write speed is the biggest issue if you want to use truly lossless.

What sort of bitrates do you get using MagicYUV or UT Video for 1080p? How much CPU do they use, on what CPU?

Edit: Nevermind... I used a Blu-ray as a source (hardware decode with DGdecodeNV) and tried converting it to lossless MagicYUV and could do >70fps with under 25% CPU usage on a i7-4770k (not overclocked). Video bitrate was ~20MB/sec (24/1.001fps). That gives me some idea of what I'd be dealing with trying to capture 1080p60 4:2:0. About 50MB/sec with no issues real time compressing it on any of my systems.
