View Full Version : Deblocking anamorphic sources

How do you deblock anamorphic sources?! (Even slightly anamorphic ones, that are like 720x576, to be seen at @ 4:3). Should you first stretch manually to get precisely 8x8 blocks? Or how does that work exactly? I know, for one, you can't resize yourself first on 'symmetric' sources, and then expect deblock to work properly.
Probably an easy question for the gurus here, but not for me, really.

how did you get the idea that anamorphic sources would be any different? the actual coded blocks don't change size just because the intended display size changes, you know
