MPC-HC why it needes madVR and ffdshow etc?

Sorry I am newbie and I can't understand... without these 2 (and others) it doesn't plays the files as good as it can? If I install MPC-HC without anything else what is the cons?

Actually, MPC-HC does NOT require madVR or ffdshow. madVR will have serious performance issues if the video card is not powerful enough. If you need or want to add some post-processing to the video & audio outputs from MPC-HC, then ffdshow is a useful tool.

Thank you for your answer, so if I don't use at all ffdshow and use alone the MPC-HC it will have major quality differences?

I don't use ffdshow anymore. I use LAV instead, MPC-HC has LAV integrated now so you don't need to worry about that.

ffdshow can do some things both LAV and madVR cannot, denoise and deblocking as well as frame interpolation (that gets more complicated) but I don't need denoising or deblocking most of the time. By default ffdshow will not change the image in MPC-HC at all. LAV is the spiritual successor to ffdshow (as an open source video decoder) but it decided to not implement all the crazy features that were part of what made ffdshow so hard to keep maintained. Now ffdshow is usually used after LAV has already decoded the video for its raw video image processing.

madVR is similar in that there is an already installed replacement that does its most basic feature: display video on the screen, resizing and converting formats where necessary. However, madVR is much higher quality, even at its default settings, than EVR (the Microsoft pre-installed alternative) but EVR does work and it is very fast.
