View Full Version : Avisynth in Audacity

Some time ago I had to reinstall Windows 7 (64 bit) and applications like Audacity. Before that, I could easily import any video file to Audacity, including Avisynth AVS files.

After reinstallation I can import anything I want, except for AVS files. They work fine in other applications (Media Player Classic, Foobar2000, VirtualDub (32 and 64 bit edition)). Audacity says it doesn’t recognize AVS format for some reason.

I tried to reinstall Audacity and Avisynth without any luck. Any help would be appreciated.

there's an ffmpeg plugin for audacity which you probably lack

If that were the case, Audacity wouldn’t recognise any video files. I can import any video file I want, except for avisynth scripts.

I redownloaded and reinstalled the ffmpeg plugin for Audacity at least 3 times.

I don't think it's the same solution that you had before, but if you mount the AVS with AVFS there's a .wav that is created along with the .avi. Perhaps you could import that?
