When I play 480p videos on 1080p display with EVR (custom presenter). It has heavy aliases.
But when I play it with EVR, no aliases.
Why they're different? I mean what is difference between them for this matter?

I've disabled all graphic card enhancement. Skin tone, color correction or whatever all of them are disabled.

what scaler did you select for EVR CP ?

EVR uses DXVA scaling that depends on your hardware.

what scaler did you select for EVR CP ? Everyone of them.
EVR uses DXVA scaling that depends on your hardware. So, that's the difference.

can you make some screens?

What is you grahics card ?

For me I have better results with scaling and chroma upsampling with EVR (Intel IGP + DXVA Native) than with custom EVR where I have to enable the chroma upsampling shader and bicubic resizer.

CPU graphic card HD Graphics 2500

EVR Custom bicubic -1.0 - https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/58215671/Other/evr%20bicubic%20-1.0.png
EVR Custom bilinear - https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/58215671/Other/evr%20bilinear.png

And where does cropping come from?
It's DVDVOB file. Cropping is related to this I guess?

intel is know for a decent DXVA scaler.

you can can try render settings -> presentation - full float point processing.

but i don't see EVR-CP bicubic win vs DXVA scaling.

the cropping is an issue from DXVA scaling.

The quality of Intel DXVA scaler can be equal to madVR's lanczos.
MPC-BE's EVR-CP has dxva2 scaling algorithm, you can try it.

MPC-BE's DVXA2 wasn't really different. It has aliases.
B-spline4 hasn't any aliases. But it's blurry compared to intel's dvxa (normal EVR) scaler.
And madVR's Lanczos was very similar. But madVR requeres more processing power.

Difference is quite noticeable when upscaling 480p videos.
Only bad thing in EVR is that cropping. It seems it crops only from black bars.

Intel DXVA scaling (either by using EVR, or also an option in madVR) is hard to beat, if the combination of low processing power and decent quality is a high priority for you. Of course if you throw a lot more processing power at it, you can achieve noticeably higher quality. E.g. you can look at the comparison between Lanczos and sharpened NNEDI3 here (http://madVR.com).
