Hi!

I got The Beatles' 1+ recent bluray release from 2015. The size is 34Gb and I want to shrink it to 25Gb. I've just only enabled the LPCM stereo english tracks and disabled both DTS-HD XLL Multi Ch and AC3, Multi-Ch, but it is always giving me the error "target is too small to continue". Here's the generated log:

[02/23/16] BD Rebuilder v0.50.12
[23:14:25] Source: THE_BEATLES
- Input BD size: 32,69 GB
- Approximate total content: [02:28:05.017]
- Target BD size: 22,95 GB
- Windows Version: 6.1 [7601]
- Auto Quality: Good (Very Fast), ABR
- Decoding/Frame serving: DirectShow
- Audio Settings: AC3=0 DTS=0 HD=0 Kbs=640
- Target too small. Encode stopped.

I've tried to shrink using DVDFab, but the program freezes. The video runs fine on Windows Media Player.

Any help, please?

Thanks!

Do you happen to have FORCE_NOENCODE set
Could you post your settings

I run my PC on windows7 Ultimate 64bit, Intel Core i5-3470 CPU @ 3.20GHz, 8Gb RAM

I put "FORCE_NOENCODE" on google and found at another forum explaining that you have to put the line "FORCE_NOENCODE=1" on the "View/Edit Config File". I did it and got the same error.

Make sure it is set to 0 or remove that line

I don't know what you mean, but I took a screenshot of the Setup window. Is is what you asked?

thanks

That message means that with the settings you have selected, there is no room for the video encoding. That means that the LPCM file(s) and other essentials are already as big or bigger than the target size. Try unchecking "Do not reencode AC3..."

I can't understand that those files are bigger. If we were talking about a 50Gb bluray, I could understand, but it's 36Gb.

I did uncheck the "Do not reencode AC3", but it goes with the same error.

*ps.: those random questions are really hard to answer!

I don't see anything odd -- except that FORCE_NOENCODE=0 is in the [Paths] area instead of [Options] -- but that really will have no effect since the default is 0 anyway.

it might have some problems with the bluray files. I don't discard that. I didn't want to delete it, but I don't know what should I do.

The only way you can get that error is if the combined kept audio/subtitles are too large. Are you sure the source isn't corrupt in some way?
