Hi folks
I hope this questions falls within the scope of these forms. I have done some Googling but I'm not sure what to search for so I hope that if I explain someone can make sense of the problem.
We have a shed load of DVDs. They way they were recorded was with a PVR machine that records programs to hard drive, then allows for editing and then writing it to DVD. The content on the DVD ends up as .bup, .ifo and .vob files.
We are now copying all our DVDs onto a hard drive and something strange happened. One of the DVDs is already quite old and seems to now have a fault on it and wouldn't copy. So we put it aside. However, now, all copies made since after the faulty one seems to have the same thumbnails as the faulty DVD. We even rebooted the computer, a laptop, but those thumbnails are still there. All DVDs copied since the faulty one have the same images for the thumbnails.
Copying on another computer, the thumbnails are correct again.
I hope my explanation makes sense. Please just ask if I need to give more information.
Kind Regards
Jannetta
