hello everrybody
why movie studios still giving Blu Rays with PAL restriction, why not they give pure mpeg 4 video with loss less sound with 24 FPS video.
any how the people going to buy BD are serious movie lovers ,those who want to archive movies in their collection.

It's worth pointing out that the original DVD regional system wasn't for technical purposes, it was for marketing/release/legal purposes. You will never see the major studios issuing universal "play anywhere" releases. Of course given modern digital TV technology your question is a valid one. My guess is that the studios won't pass up another chance to keep the market fragmented.
It's fairly common for films to be released by different studios in different countries.

Original TV releases are one thing, but films are 24 fps, so they should be released that way. 24000/1001 fps movies are bad enough, but sped up, 25 fps movies are an abomination. There is no excuse for that at the end of SD televisions. The only explanation for it is that it's a quick and dirty form of digital restriction management.
