I'm lost. I've been using LSmash (for the LWLibavVideoSource function) for "ages" now, and on two systems. But both of those systems had a lot of other video-related items installed earlier.

I need to get LSmash installed on a fresh Win 7 Pro system, but can't figure out what prerequisite installations I need to do. I find no documentation help in the LSmash package.

I did try installing ffdshow, thinking that the bunch of junk IT includes would have the right prerequisites for LW, but was incorrect.

Will someone please help point me??

You're mistaken. It doesn't have all *I* need to know. It presumes a lot of things. Yes, I follow the links to "FFmpeg" and "libavcodec". (I suspect I need libavcodec rather than FFmpeg.) But those pages don't have links to get an .exe installer of anything (nor say what .dlls to copy somewhere if that's what's needed).

Could you please tell the explicit items I must download and install and where to get them, seeing as those links don't help? Please humor me. It was by accident that I got LSmash installed months ago on "non-clean" systems. I told you; I'm very lost.

I'm afraid you might be planning to tell me to go research how to get and install things like "gzip", "lz" or the like. I have a fresh and clean Win 7 Pro, and I don't want to do a half dozen research projects to get this LSmash installed. Shouldn't there somewhere be a straight forward do this, this and this and you're done, without any subsidiary research projects?

THANK you, friend! You're the "Real Deal" for sure! I can't figure just why I didn't see that! Probably, I'm just very tired/overworked. YES, doing that (the VC++) worked! Oh, and although I have a 64-bit Xeon/Win 7, I picked 32-bit VC++ as I've kept all video stuff (Virtualdub, Avisynth, etc.) as 32-bit for reliability.
