Analog Capture Card

I am trying to get my capture card working and have posted about it here (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=172780) as well as emailing Hauppauge tech support, but in the event that I cannot get my current card to work what would you recommend?

I also have an EASYCAP but I'm worried it will drop frames as a result of being a USB 2.0 device. I would have to dig it out of my garage so I haven't tried it yet though. Any input on that?

Raw SD YV16 or YUY2 (the 4:2:2 typical capture format) is 20MB/s, well within the effective headroom of USB2, though you should keep the USB clear as much as possible otherwise. YV24 or RGB24 is 30MB/s and really pushing it. I've had no problems capturing to YUY2 for over a decade with a USB2 dongle.
