When I open DVD2SVCD I hit the button ti read IFO files. I then get a box in the middle of my screen that says "Analyzing Video, please wait" I wait and nothing happens, the box just stays there.

So I set everything up and hit the go button and the program starts until I get to this

Preparing vobfiles to be ripped
D:\VIDEO_TS\VTS_01_1.vob
D:\VIDEO_TS\VTS_01_2.ob
D:\VIDEO_TS\VTS_01_3vob
D:\VIDEO_TS\VTS_01_4vob
D:\VIDEO_TS\VTS_01_5vob

I/O error 1381

Then it just stops.

Any help?
Thanks in advance

Yeah, it may not be validating. play a bit of the dvd with your player software and then either kill it or pause it. Then start your rip.

It also may be your aspi layer. You did not mention your OS. Have you done this stuff before? Have you ever ran smartripper on a dvd? If not, download it and try to rip. Watch very carefully in the temp window that comes up to the left and let us know if it finds an aspi layer, or if it takes a while for it to close before the main smartripper window comes up.

If it does hesitate for a long time or actually say it could not find aspi, and you are not running XP, then download forceaspi and install it. If running XP go to the DVD2SVCD homepage and get XP-Aspi.

Let us know if this resolves your problem or give more feedback.

The only time that I get this error is if I have e dvd already ripped onto my hard drive and then try and rip a second dvd, clearing the first movie, and then trying again gives no prob, this has happened a couple of times
