Got a problem with aac audio. I hear no lfe from it.
I first thought there might be something wrong with me aac file, but when played through audacity (+ ffmpeg plugin) I properly hear the lfe channel.

When using latest 64bit MPC-HC nightly or vlc-3.0.0-git-20150826-0403, mplayer, ffplay I don't.

Audio is always send via HDMI to my okay tx-SR508 receiver.

Strange thing is, that when I look into MPC-HCs "Lav Audio Decoder -> Properties->Status -> Channel Output" during playback, I see the LFE channel indicator indicates an LFE signal, but I hear nothing.

Anyone got an idea what could be the cause of this and how to fix it?

----

Just converted my test file to wav audio and got the same result. No LFE when using MPC-HC&Co, but everything is okay when using Audacity.

do you have a short sample file that uses LFE?

ARGH,, got it, the audio decide configuration was configured to stereo and not 5.1 :)
(got a sample file in my Google Drive (https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B_WxUS1XGCPASUZibG5XZkRfeTg&usp=sharing))

i was guess something like an old nvidia card without 5.1 support but bitstream support so AC3/dts have LFE and aac not.

but yeah 2.0 doesn't have an LFE channel.

if your receiver isn't using an LFE cross over think about using AC3 filter as an post processing filter.

Problem was that the HDMI Audio output device was configured as stereo and not 5.1 only I changed it to 5.1 everything worked again as it should, strange thing is that Audacity worked the whole time. :)
