The same process is part of Win8. Google it, it's something about managing Metro Apps.
Good luck with your new spyware OS (http://www.newsweek.com/windows-10-recording-users-every-move-358952) (yes, Win10 puts even Google to shame in that regard).

so I googled it and switched this off, and runtime broker is gone from the CPU killer club

about that... M$ would pick some more tricky way like some undocumented loophole or whatever to do that if it really wants to spy on you I guess...

No tricks. They admit openly that they will log your key strokes, read your email, etc. so you'll have a better "experience". It's all in the Win10 EULA (which probably has about 15000 pages so nobody will read it).

 Long Live 7.

(joining the XP club. Windows is looking more like Apple with its manditory updates :-/ )

I will never understand why people downgrade to win10 and agree to have big brother watching you all the time. You still have 2 weeks to roll back.

well, I do like Cortana (and Siri on my iPhone), I use these things all the time and I understand they won't work without collecting some of your personal data (or how would they ever know your personal favors and hobbies and they intelligent agents are useless without being personal)

I think M$'s problem is more of trying to make one OS work for all kinds of devices, like people always want to do everything on CPU and complain why CPU is so damn slow, CPU is slow because it has the ability to do "everything", and "everything" will work slower on CPU than some chip designed specifically for the task

and M$ made the same "CPU" mistake here, unlike M$, Apple has different operating systems for different devices, and M$ has win10 for PCs, Tablets, Cell Phones,... all kinds of stuff, so PC experience is sacrificed for tablet compatibility, tablet experience likewise

M$ should release some OS other than Windows (like iOS) for devices like tablets, cell phones, and, yeah, stuff

Cortana on desktop is useless for me. I'm not going to talk to machine if I have keyboard and mouse in front of my monitor ;)

I don't think M$ has any business being on a tablet or mobile device.
They're main success comes from PC desktops.
Laptops just fluked out. Mostly for internet browsing.

Blackberry is dying a slow death.

Android and Apple are the leading competitors for mobile devices.
Although Android receieves a lof of flack for malware in the Play Store, they also don't have any sort of regulations to keep malware out of it.
Same issue SourceForge always has when it's under fire.

M$ needs to realize it's a one-hit pony.
No one likes thier Office suite when it's the only thing that really works (paradoxically; i'd love to have just one versoin that ends all versions... it's worse than installing MSVC runtimes for every year in history).

The commercialist ideals behind the mobile monopoly is too much like Hollywood studios thinking that every 2D movie being converted in post-production as a 3D movie will make it an instant box office hit.

I only care that my phone can recognize ReplayGain and answer calls/texts.

Given the shortest battery lifespan ever, movies will always be out of the question.

I've heard many android users saying in forums next phone will be Windows 10, I've also much interest and will follow news and product reviews regarding Windows 10 phones very closely.

Bitching about win10 isn't appropriate here, guys. Half this thread is pointless ranting, stop it, keep ranting about win10 to a general win10 thread. He just wanted a fix.

This issue looks like the infamous Vista clock widget, which turned your PC into a space heater in (IIRC) SP2. It'll probably be fixed in an optional update soon, if not already, and an engineer was probably slapped upside the head for it.
