link a subtitle to audio track in mkvmerge GUI

hi

i want to create a multistream (multi-audio) movie , and have an .srt subtitle in persian.

details for tracks:

video (made by USA): 1.mkv

audio 1 (english) : 2.mka

audio 2 (persian) : 3.mka

subtitle (persian) : 4.srt




how can i merge these tracks into one MKV so that when i play audio 1(english) the subtitle is shown and when i switch to audio 1 (persian) the subtitle is not shown?

That only refers to the initial selection when opening the file, not subsequent changes to the audio stream, and its entirely unrelated to Matroska, it works with any format that has stream languages.

The only way to do this, you use Haali Splitter with the TRACKSETEX in a TAGS.XML which you mux into the mkv.

No thats not possible, because Haali and LAV Spliter doesn't
support the TrackElement in the chapters.xml.

The only way is Haali Spliter and TRACKSETEX.

in haali splitter you can do this.
There should be a option near preferred subtitle & audio where you have to enter preferred "audio:subtitle" [i uninstalled haali splitter long ago,so i can't remember exact option]

Just mux video with proper language selected & search setting in haali splitter
