How to change my thread's title?

I do not know what happened but I'm unable to change it. In the past I was able to modify it by simple double click.

Edit your top post in Advanced mode. 'Title' appears in an editable box.

What browser lets you double-click without sending you to the page? For me, if I double-click on one of my threads in Firefox it pops up like your image for half a second and then goes to the link.

What about: Edit -> Go Advanced -> Title?

I'm using firefox. Normally if you double click on grey area it activates edit mode but it turns out that my old thread has beed "hijacked" by time :(

Your thread is probably too old. Wait for admin to help you, or maybe start a new thread, adding a link to it from your existing top post.

What is the point of removing my rights to my thread after few years? What is the logic behind that? For me it does not make sense at all and no I'm not going to start new thread just because stupid software has "period".

It's some limitation that's part of vBulletin, some maximum length has to be chosen in the admin panel, and 2 years might've been the longest at the time (I'm pretty sure it goes up to Unlimited now). I don't know if it still is. Doom9 would have to look at it. In the meantime if you report your post when you need to change it, a mod can change the thread title.
