View Full Version : Playlist Obfuscation

Each day more and more bluray discs (almost all from Lionsgate) are bringing the playlist obfuscation (which I think is called ScreenPass), which have sometimes hundreds of playlists very similar between them in terms of time and m2ts files.

When there are just a few m2ts is fairly easy to manually get it right, but when there are dozens and dozens of playlists, and also dozens and dozens of m2ts titles, it becomes very difficult.

Obviously there is just one correct playlist, and so far I have not been able to find a sure way of identifying it.

Any ideas on how to do this?

Thanks,

RPareja.

I don't know the details myself, but the easiest way is to monitor the memory locations of a software player like PowerDVD to see what PlayList it plays when you watch the movie...

Or wait a day or two after the release, and use AnyDVD. They usually have it solved within 24 hours.

[Edit]: This video seems to explain the process using PowerDVD:
