on my card, for whatever reason, trust DXVA with colors and levels looks significantly better - better colors, contrast, and gamma is fixed where I told my graphics card to set it in the settings.
a huge issue since this is literally the cheapest TV money can buy at 32 inches -- so needless to say, contrast ratio and gamma are both non-standard and shit.
the blacks actually come out black, and without it, they are sort of gray-ish. adding to the contrast can help, but not quite the same way -- too much is still too much, and it just washes over everything -- the nvidia dynamic contrast looks pretty good without madvr releveling everything
and colors seem richer and more lifelike - its like a grayish film is lifted off of the video -- with the ONE NEGATIVE being that dark areas are sometimes TOO dark, but everything else looks better.
my question is, how can I get it to apply this option all the time -- for some reason, my PC ONLY does this when its in full screen -- meaning the videos have to be stretched if their aspect ratio isnt full 1920x1080.
how can I get this option to still render it the same way if I leave smaller videos at their respective aspect ratio?
I dont know whats CAUSING this to look better either -- isnt it not reccomended? while dark areas of the screen certainly can be WAY too dark at times because of the contrast -- on EVERY other account it looks better - like I said, blacks are black not lighted gray, and a film appears to be lifted off the colors.
I have an nvidia GTX 600 series, if that helps any
