Can't get soap opera smooth video effect from svp/media players

Hi, i've got many videos that can't seem to be played back in any media player that i can use with svp with the soap opera smooth video effect that supposed to come by using it. I've tried several different media players, tweaked many settings in ffdshow and svp and those media players, but for some reason the video played back, although it says svp is working, it looks the same as if svp wasn't working. I posted about this in svp forum and somebody said that something about frame blending. Would this be the cause of my problem? How to remove frame blending in realtime with a media player and use svp? Thanks for any good replies.

I've just seen your post on the SVP forum, I don't think your hardware is strong enough but at least fiddling around with these settings below might help.

Go back one step into "Software Players" open the "MPDN" Media Player.Net thread, and in the original post by Zachs the developer, check for articles in the post. Read my article regarding SVP Settings, and maybe some of the settings I mentioned might help you with achieving the "soap-opera effect"... Goodluck.

Edit: You don't have to use MPDN, but I do recommend it and MPC+Madvr as the best two players (in my opinion)... But first just give the settings a try with whatever player you're currently using.

Make sure your player and everything you use is in 32-Bit with SVP.

Your sources seem to be an issue (looking at the SVP forum).
Youtube encodes videos from the upload source, so depending on THAT source, it could have been encoded several times.
The quality is severely low so you won't really see the details as much when SVP is enabled.
high frame rate blur looks like high frame rate blur.

And that "blended" source looks like an incorrect encode from DVD.

you would do better from a proper source material.
like remux a bluray (and let SVP downsize to maybe 1280 or even 800 if your system can't handle full 1080p).
if you remux a DVD, use either LAV or FFDshow to "deinterlace" (loosest term. either deinterlace or detelecine. with DVD it can really go either way).

The cleaner the source is, the more you'll "see" that soap opera effect.
