there used to be a thread for this, but it was removed, because the creator didnt want to be bothered with pm's by people who apparently didnt buy their movies themselves, but obtained them illegally (even though this doesnt really have much to do with the software, as its tools have nothing to do with any illegal activities of obtaining movies).
Im wondering, is this tool actually open source? if so, are there people here who'd be willing to do some fixes/updates? the original creator said he is busy until autumn.
what needs to be fixes is the following:
1. mpc-hc updates need to take into account if the x64 versions is installed on the computer. currently, the latest (pre) x86 version gets downloaded, regardless of the former fact.
2. LAV (version) detection seems to be faulty. the tool always downloads & asks for installation of the latest version (0.65) even though that version is already installed.
3. maybe fix/add a command line input for the madvr installation path, as the tool automatically seems to put it into C:\ or C:\program files (x86)
would be really great if someone could work on these things, I find this to be a really useful and easy one-click tool to keep mpc-hc, lavfilters and madvr all up-to-date at the same time.
edit: the creator confirmed in a pm that it is actually open source: "Yes, it is actually open-source, licensed under the MIT License, so anyone is free to fork it and release their own versions."
