View Full Version : Mpeg-4v2 support?

Yes, I know, Mpeg-4v2 compression is worse than DivX-3 and DivX-4...
But I don't like the DivX-4 seeking in AVI format (well, and OGG format is very early for me), and some DivX-3 rips have color trails (The Emperor's New Groove PAL is a good example, and the Mpeg-4v2 version works perfectly).

I'll probably change my mind if Xvid goes stable.
I'm using Gordian for my Mpeg-4v2 rips (almost all things work fine), and I suppose there will be no difficult adding support for it.
But I know too that there aren't too many people using it, I understand that .

Excuse my poor English and thx for your work.

Hi :),

I had no problems reading ur english :) ...

I was just thinking - the "colour trails" you mentioned: did you try turning thr "anti-shit" option on to get rid of them ?

Thx, my english is a bit better than I thought, but not enough. :)

Yes, I forgot to mention it... I always use anti-shit when I encode cartoons (and almost always in normal movies).
