Cannot decrypt Unbroken

I purchased the movie "Unbroken". When tying to make a backup I receive an error message to this effect. "temporarily muted due to Cinavia protection. not authorized for playback on this device". Tried Anydvd to Shrink to Imgburn. Not working. Help!

That isn't encryption that is Cinavia, it is a watermark in the audio. It is not fixable unless you use the new method Slysoft developed (http://www.myce.com/news/slysoft-removes-cinavia-signal-from-blu-ray-movies-with-anydvd-hd-and-clonebd-combination-75695/) (posted in the thread (https://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=172014) below this one) but that damages the audio quality.

Or you can use another device to play your backup. :(

Thanks for the reply, this is something new to me, first time I ever ran across it, is it something new, I am certainly no expert but have been backing up disks for about 10 years. What is a watermark?

A message hidden inside something, like a picture or, in this case, the audio. When Cinavia-aware players read that message without having any Blu-ray keys present, it recognizes a ripped copy and refuses to continue playing. The PS3 & PS4 both detect it, as well as a number of standalones. Best option is to use a player that isn't Cinavia-aware, like plug your computer into the TV. Otherwise, it's very difficult to get rid of, and really messes with the sound quality when you try.

He can't - cinavia is mandatory for all units new on market since 2012 (but everything is said in that cinavia thread).

There are so far two solutions.

One - to use (for how long?) an old player, before cinavia was mandatory
Two - to drop the menu support and thus to rely on players that do not have to be subjected to cinavia certification

Also option 2 may not be future-proof, as cinavia will be implemented in the SoC IS (Sigma Design, MediaTek etc) that are also used in not-certified players and they may trigger it even for files.

No, it is released. It is in the change logs for the newest version of AnyDVD HD, for example.

Update. Heard of a product called DvDRanger, used with the latest AnyDvdHd, it worked. Plus was able to use the BDMV with DvD Fab and made a Blu-Ray to Dvd disk.
