i got the new inter video filter (from the release from win xp)
it working perfectly on my card (i can easily choose 6 channels, 4 or or spdif) worx on media player , micro dvd player........

only one problem , i think the codec is protected or something , after 5 minutes of playback , the sounds gets mute , and i have to restart the playing program.


if some one can help , or explain me how to enable 6 speakers on the old inter video filter (i see the option , but its grayed).

attached is the my new filter (uncracked it seems , and i think you must have windvd installed to hear something , not sure).

if you have a fully functional version of windvd installed you have no time limit. So... install the 10mb package.. what can it hurt?

I've also got a problem with this filter. I cant choose 4 speaker mode (its greyed). When I open the properties for the filter it's DOLBY_DIGITAL as standard. If I choose stereo or somthing else and start to play the movie its back on DOLBY_DIGITAL :(

I have a Hercules Gamesurround Fortissimo II, maybe its not compitable with the filter?

I can choose 4 speaker in PowerDVD 4.0 and it work like a charm, but only with DVD's, not with DivX+AC3.

MayB some reg settings are enough, but haven't tried it though.

hi guys , maybe i found a soultion

i took a codec from my friend retail windvd , its bit newer than what i had , and seems working well (sound working on all movie and not muting after 5 mintues of play, and of course works with 6 speakers)

please try it and tell me if it works also on your place.

ivan_alias, jonny5 so you are able to play divx with AC3, and the properties says you are using 6 speaker mode (5.1 channel) in the Intervideo audio decoder ?

you need to install full version of Win DVD

(well you need the filters it provides)

I have the latest WINDVD 3.0 with 3.1 update installed.
But no 4, 6 channel with divx. I have with DVD.

I installed the new version and guess what, I have no sound! The 4 speaker mode is still greyed and now the spdif option is greyed to (it was not in the old version). But know i can change to mono and its remain there even when i playback the video...

I'm getting crazy :(

I think this is the newest (2001.11) iviaudio.ax filter

AC3 filter (http://www.fpscentral.hu/download/software/ac3codec.zip)

But with divx ac3 it's not working either. (for me)
With DVD it's perferct.
