New to PGCEdit and to this forum so I hope this post is in the proper place.

I am trying to find the layer break edit dialog on PGCEdit v9.3 in order to burn DVD+R DL disks. I input DVD folders to IMGBurn v2.5.8 which complained about the layer break. [See attachment for error windows]

So I tried editing the DVD folder with PGCEdit. Not having used the app before, I used Blutach's tutorial: "How to burn Dual Layer Disks with PgcEdit" (don't know how current it is) - Blutach (http://download.videohelp.com/r0lZ/pgcedit/third_party/blutach/dl_burning_with_pgcedit.htm)

When I OK'd the "Burn DVD" window, I got the error message "Can't Find a suitable cell for the layer break", which I also OK'd. I did not get the "Burn Double Layer DVD: Select Layer Break" window which I expected from the tutorial.

Bottom line: I was not able to manually display the Layer Break window in PGCEdit. Could anyone help me with this?

First of all, modern DVD players do not have issues with a wrong layer break. Ignore the ImgBurn warning and you'll be almost 100% safe.

Secondly, PGCefit cannot set a layer break, it can only mark a place as a layer break. The true layer break is set by the burning software. You have to use VobBlanker to create a new cell where PGCedit tells you to do (you pick a suitable place within that range).

There is also another possibility if your DVD has several titlesets (VTSs). When it's the case, you can try to swap some VTSs so that a suitable layer break becomes available. Use PgcEdit's DVD -> Remap Titlesets function. This operation is harmless, but there is no guarantee that a layer break will be available after the swap.
Otherwise, you can use VobBlanker to split a cell at a suitable place, as explained by Ghitulescu above, or just ignore the ImgBurn warning.
