View Full Version : Looking for a mediaplayer with preview when you hover the seekbar (Youtube-style)

Hello,

All streaming websites (Youtube, Youporn, ...) have this feature: when you hover the seekbar you get a thumbnail preview of what you will see if you click and actually seek to that position of the video.

But I couldn't find a desktop mediaplayer with this feature. I tried MPC-HC, MPC-BE, MplayerX, VLC, ... Any luck? I have Windows 10 and OS X Yosemite, so any solution would be fine.

Zoom Player has it as an option. Interface -> Control Bar -> Timeline Area -> Show position preview thumbnail

I'm pretty sure MPC-BE has this. Maybe HC as well.

Oh I see, it wasn't activated by default for MPC-BE. I found the option and now I'm happy. I'll now change my default media player to MPC-BE because of this feature.

MPC-HC is missing the feature... almost feel like uninstalling it. :(
