Subtitle color on B&W film

Hi all,

have you ever authored a B&W feature?
What color did you use for the subtitles?
If I remember well, yellow is the color for B&W films.

Can someone tell me if there is a 'standard' for B&W films?
Or what your clients are asking.

I've only done a few, but the clients I've worked with have always used yellow on B&W films.

They would even use yellow for B&W segments in otherwise color movies...
