Has anyone tried encoding to Divx4 using Mplayer (linux or any other unix x86 platform)? I'd really like to try it out, but before I start molesting my win2k partition (dual boot et. al) I'm hoping I can learn from user experience.
I really dig xmpeg4.2a, when it works. I think Gknot is fantastic, but I'm having problems with audio sync'ing, so I'm contemplating trying Mplayer.
Half of my problem may be attributed to my system (or lack there of). A celeron 450 is *seriously* hurting (even with an Abit m/b and half a gig of wasted RAM), but it's all I got.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
