I have seen various codecs that set: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\MediaResources\msacm
But from the research that I have made the correct key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\MediaResources\acm

I thought that probably the lame inf file has made the error and everyone else copied the error (my supposition).

Do someone have any exact info about this key?

The only entry for acm I have is for Windows Media Audio (msaud32.acm)

For MSACM I have Flac ACM Decompressor (CoreFLAC_ACM.acm) and l3acm (l3codecp.acm)

There's another key called [Mediaresourc es] above it with msacm.L3codec (l3codecp.acm) for acm.
