I am hunting for a way to keep a DTS core (1500k) audio track on a 15gb blue-ray. I know I can keep the HD audio if I make a BD25 copy but the whole thing is only 15 gb so I don't want to waste all that space if I don't have too. If I compress it down with BD_Rebuilder to fit a BD9 it ends up with only a DD 5.1 (448k) track or a DD 5.1 (192k) one. I have run the original m2ts. thru another program and kept the DTS (1500k) core and would like to add it to the m2ts. file and then compress it with BD_Rebuilder to fit on a BD9. But it only wants to give me a DD 5.1 (448k) audio. Is there a hidden option I can use for this? It seems like I did this once upon a time but have now forgotten how.

Under audio encode options keep the following ticked:
Do not convert...
and
Do not reencode...
Works great for me.

Thanks LowDead, but those items are only for a BD25 rebuild and I am doing a BD9. I was looking at this disk and since it had a Dolby TrueHD track I assumed BD_Rebuilder was converting it to DD5.1 (448k) by mistake. I wanted to keep the HD audio or at least have a DD5.1 (640k) like it usually creates. After I tried re-encoding the audio using tsMuxer I found the track was actually DD5.1 (448k) anyhow, lol.

Try unchecking STRICT_AVCHD in the set up page

Read this post (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?p=1447836#post1447836) for details. Look at #2 under "BD-5/9".
Note, however, that the title on your original post doesn't match the text -- as the DTS core is not HD. Also note that there are players that won't play a DVD-9 with DTS (DTS is not a part of the AVCHD standard).

Thanks @ gonca & jdobbs; RE: Look at #2 under "BD-5/9".
Thanks, I knew there was some way to do it but I searched thru the forum and read the hidden ops and couldn't find it. I will keep a copy of these Audio FAQ instructions from now on. Sometimes I wish to keep the HD Audio even on a BD9 if it's not but around 1gig or less of space required to keep it.

You can't keep HD on a BD-5/9, because it is too large. You'll never find an HD audio track that is only 1500KB for a full movie -- especially in DTS-HD.
