Ok... not the best title... I have tried to find out but have had little success. I would like to know how a DVD player gets the instructions to load a matrix for the video... or does it at all. The only thing I could find was talking about the Dolby extras (matrix flag) but then I found that somewhere in the stream is the info or something like load intra and nonintra quantization matrix... but that’s about as far as I could get. I don't know what I’m talking about... as you can tell. The other day I loaded a .vob from SUPERBIT Dracula into MPEG Properties v1.0 and noticed that in the Video 01 tab in the Flags box "Load Matrix" was highlighted. This got me curious... so I wanted to find out if my matrix patched encodes are being passed to the DVD player. My encodes do not trigger this "Load Matrix" in MPEG Properties. I know this is another question... that for another day. :D

I didn't know where to post this so I did so here.

Thanks :)
