View Full Version : How can I remove these lines/halo's/double imaging? (Not sure which it is)

If you look really close at the insides of things, it looks like theres another image of the same thing inside or lines that shouldnt be there. Its alot easier to see in this picture, just look at the purple on the face especially above the eyes.

Once more in this picture. Look in the shirt where the dark red meets the light red, theres a whitish image of the same thing over the light red. Look at the purple markings above the eyes and on the arms. If you look at the insides around the outer edge again theres is a whitish looking image of the same thing inside.

How can I remove or cover those up?

Try dehalo alpha.

If you're sharpening, I'd cut back on that before going with dehaloing.

A dehalo filter doesn't seem to be doing much noticeable to it.

No sample video?

I would guess a problem caused by chroma subsampling, since the problem is only visible on strong color transitions. You might try using a different chroma upsizing method.

Or if this 720p video is from iTunes for example, download the 1080p file instead.

There is no 1080p version of this available, only 720p and 480p.

If a sample video is needed, I can get one for everyone.
