After a divx had been encoded with AC3, is it possible to extract the audio from it as a *.wav. I've used virtualdub to extract a wav file from a standard divx but cannot figure out how to do it from a ac3 encoded divx. Help anyone. Thanks

Hi,

Two steps involved.

1) Extract ac3 audio from avi file. Open Nandub (or Vdub), open your avi file --> Go to "Audio" menu --> Select both "Direct Stream Copy" and "Avi audio" --> Go to "File Menu" --> select "save wav"

rename file xxx.ac3 and hit Save

File will be created as ac3 sound on your hard drive where you specify.

2) Use Azid to convert ac3 sound to wav format.
