Strange ripping problem......Please help me

Hello to you all,

I have a strange kind of ripping problem. Yesterday I want to rip the movie Down to Earth (region 2/PAL) but every time it comes at the fourth vobfile the speed is slowing down and at last it stopped. I've waited for an hour and nothing happend. I tried to rip the movie with internal routines, vStrip, Smartripper and with claddvd. But nothing can rip the movie. How is this possible and how works the hard way to rip a movie with Smartripper?

Forget it. A shall try dvddecrypter. But do you know what people mend by ripping the hard way with smartripper.

No problems. I only think that here you can have more specific help. Btw: if the problem with still happens after using dvddecrypter, save the log file and post it here.

I am an newbie on this field, a couple weeks ago I tried to ripped some movies (just for practice), I successful ripped two moives to hard disk. Unfortunately, I have encountered same problem for another three DVDs when ripping the vob files, I have tried the sr and decrypter. I got same problem on same VOB file. The transfer speed down to zero and nothing happen anymore. Nothing special on the log file. the decrpter display 'busy' but no more bytes been transfered once the speed down to zero, however i can feel the rotating of drive. It's hard to stop the application sometime. The message 'wait for read thread' come out after I press cancel button. Sometime, I can't shutdown the computer, it seems the disk drive still working. I have to shut down system by power switch. I appreciate if anyone can give me some light.
