Hi guys,
I just installed the latest version and as soon as I tried to backup one of my blu-ray discs it got 75% doen then got to the step where it starts to reencode the audio and it crashes at that point. Here are the last few lines from the log file.
- [18:15:39] Processing audio tracks
- Track 4352 (eng): Reencoding audio to AC3...
- [18:15:40] Processing audio tracks
- Track 4352 (eng): Reencoding audio to AC3...
- ERROR in attempt to reencode audio (AFTEN) [AUD_00006_4352.AVS]
- [18:15:40] ReencodeAudio() 26001 1801
[20:15:16] - Failed to reencode audio, aborted
Can anyone tell me what might be going on? I might point out that I've not changed any settings since copying other blu-ray discs just fine.
Thanks!!

Before jdobbs will be able to help you, you need to post the FULL CONVERSION LOG. Not just 10 lines. Right now, vital information is missing.

I don't necessarily need JDobbs to answer if someone else has an answer for me that will be fine. ;)
I have verbose reporting turned on, so here is the entire log.

That's still not a complete log. The inspect results aren't there.

If that's not what you mean, how do I get the inspect results? :thanks:
OK I found it under the help menu, looks like what I posted above. Hope this helps.

That error is a rare one -- so I had to research it. It comes from the operating system, not BD Rebuilder. According to what I can find, an error 26001 almost always means there is a problem in your system registry. I don't get the connection to AFTEN audio encoding, but there it is anyway. You might try downloading a freeware registry cleaner and see if that fixes it.

Thank you sir! I think I may have stumbled across the first victim to my registry hacking that I partook in last week. I've been having issues with my laptop with my Logitech Setpoint software and it not wanting to uninstall, even in safe mode. So I got mad and started searching through my registry for anything in the Logitech folder and hacking away at it. I may have removed a key that shouldn't have been removed and I messed things up with my BD-RB software. Thanks for the clue, I'll try my registry cleaner and see if that can resolve my issues. :goodpost:
Just ran my registry cleaner and it found 923 errors. I let it fix them all then rebooted. When I fired up BD-RB and clicked "start" it asked if I wanted to resume my previously unfinished job and I said yes. I then got the following error message:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/8etfnixbka1tqfv/BD%20Error.jpg?dl=0
I'm thinking I need to reinstall the Matroska splitter and other items to see if that resolves my issue. Or should I start the same job over from scratch?

Which error message? Better to reinstall all helper applications and start over.

I reinstalled everything, AVISYNTH, FFDSHOW, Matroska splitter, LAV Directshow, etc. Then started the job over from the start, I get error 1801 and the AFTEN error again. Do I need to post any new logs?

Well, I don't think so. However with registry mess there is only sure way to fix it. Reinstall OS. You can try Aften separately and see if it works before you go with installing OS.
The thing is no registry cleaner may fully cure your problem.

Hey guys,
I resolved my issue by changing the setting "Do not convert DCS to AC3"
I don't know what the ramifications of this will be. All I know is that I was able to RIP the entire Blu-Ray without it crashing as soon as it tried to reencode the audio. This seemed to be a simple fix. What am I missing here?
